EXPANSION OF NEW BIRTLEY READY MIX CONCRETE AND MORTAR PLANT.
North East Concrete Ltd, part of North East Group Ltd has announced the opening of its new now fully operational larger site in Birtley, which allows the business to keep up speed with its increasing demand. The new plant produces ready-mix concrete and a range of special products including Self Compacting Concrete (SCC) North East Flow 35, North East Flow 35 + SF86 (Steel Fibre North East flow 35 + Durus Easyfinish (Macro Fibre).
The new expanded site covers 20 acres with our new Readymixed Concrete Plant, Asphalt Plant, Readymixed Mortar Plant, Recycled Aggregate Operation and our Fleet and Plant Workshop facility also on site. The site is located at, Longshank Lane, Birtley, Chester Le Street, DH3 lQZ.
Our new ready mixed Mortar Plant is producing a range of products including, Mortar DES 1 and DES 111 Natural. Dry Screed including North East
Traditional Fibre Screed, North East Quick Screed, North East Quick Screed+ and North East Elite Screed. Mortar is used in a wide variety of builds and
construction projects, including, New house builds, bedding roof tiles, masonry construction & repairs, and pointing including patch repairs, as well as
catering for much larger construction, supply projects. More products will be available soon.
To supplement the new plant at Birtley, the company has also invested in two brand new additional truck mixers as part of its large mixed fleet of
Truckmixers which include 8m3, 6m3 and 4m3 trucks enabling us to supply large contracts down to smaller DIY projects. These two new mixer trucks like the rest of the fleet are tracked in real time to enable a first class delivery and ordering service through our dedicated local shipping office.
